It’s time for our annual Junior Production! Tickets are now on sale for this 6th Annual Event and we can’t wait to see you at the theatre. These kids have been working hard for the past 10 weeks and they are super talented!
There’s alot to celebrate this year with this production in particular. The entire concept is an original adaptation, taking two classical stories and mixing them together a bit. The script was written by student interns, Hannah Macomber and Kelsey Mclernon. The classes are taught and/or co-directed by a team of talented high school students and interns, all supervised and guided by the AWIP Staff. And the classes are made up of students ages 4-13, in music, dance, and acting. PLUS, there will be an art show at the production, featuring this semester’s Picasso Art Class masterpieces!
Even as I write these things, I am in awe of the incredible opportunities these homeschoolers have, and the many talents they bring. Beyond the talent, though, is the level of teamwork and dedication we see week in and week out. From parents assisting with bathroom monitoring, to interns helping mark the set with masking tape on the floor, to the students working hard on their lines and songs and dances… we are humbled and grateful for all of the effort poured out so that these kids can work together to let their lights shine.
Grab your tickets now before the best seats are gone! $5 online (plus a convenience fee) and $8 at the door.
